From my grandmother and my great grandmother I got these old stoneware preserving jars. I thought they needed some fun labels. These are woven and simple to make. The tiresome part is the cutting out. Each label is made from two layers.
The oval Labels #002 are the simplest to weave. Just place one layer flat on the table. Place the other layer exactly above, however, the strips must swirl in the other direction. Weave and take care the two layers are not shifted.
The rectangular Labels #001 are a little more difficult as they have the corners. Imagine that the end points of the small slids in the corners must meet and twist the strips to join them.
