Made from red and white paper this Cone #017 is for Canada. Any other colour will do if you just want a basket with maple leaves. Cutting out is most efficient with a cutting machine. Weaving is somewhat an ordeal, however, you will learn by experience and speed up the process if you decide to make several. Start out weaving the first row flat on the table. Line up very precisely and fix with glue. Then form the cone. The pattern is made so that it will fit whether you chose to put the flap inside or outside. Just remember to let all the little stems show in the lower row. Take your time and make each leaf pretty as you weave. Keep together with paperclips. Finally line up the upper level of leaves and fix with glue. Cut out a handle from paper left over and fix with glue.
